WARNING: This is a photo-heavy post…enjoy!
We had such a wonderful time celebrating my sister Lindsey’s
graduation at BYU-Idaho this weekend. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science
in Health Science and will begin Optometry school in the fall. My mom, dad, and
Aunt Laura all came from California on Thursday, while Tanner, Carter and I
arrived on Friday.
After we arrived we had a wonderful “mason jar” picnic
provided by my mom at Lindsey’s apartment. You can see most of our time was spent
playing with Carter and taking pictures of him. I wish I had gotten a picture
of the wonderful spread that we had, but I think I was too busy eating it to document
it! We all walked over to the new I-Center for Lindsey’s commencement. What a
beautiful building! It looks like a mini-Conference Center. Elder M. Russell
Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was the keynote speaker. He gave a
great and uplifting talk. After Commencement we enjoyed taking pictures
together then headed downstairs in the same building for Lindsey’s Convocation.
We got to see Lindsey walk and receive her diploma. I’ll admit I had to play
aggressive paparazzi to get any shots of her. Let’s just say the students of
BYU-Idaho are well-loved by their family and friends.
The next morning we all met up Idaho Falls to have breakfast
together. This might have been one of my favorite parts of the trip. We
thoroughly enjoyed talking together and watching Carter make funny faces.
The highlights of the
trip to me were: seeing my mom snuggling Carter whenever she got the chance,
Aunt Laura meeting Carter for the first time and bringing some family history
pictures along, watching dad spin Carter on the chair, of course, seeing
Lindsey graduate, and watching Tanner joke around with family. It was a quick
trip, but we had a wonderful time reconnecting and celebrating Lindsey’s great
accomplishment!

Dad created a monster. All Carter wanted to do was spin! |

Carter got a sword from grandma for Easter. Does she know him or what? No more sticks Carter! |

Our favorite photography subject, other than Lindsey. |

Not it's not the Conference Center. |

So beautiful! |

Whatever they are looking at they must be seeing the same thing. |
|
We tried to get a group shot...this was the best we could do. |
|
What a stunner. |
|
We ran up to the front of the building before convocation. Good thing we did, everyone took pictures here after. |
|
Yeah we got the shot! |

Congratulations Lindsey! |
|
Smell the roses, you deserve it! |
