50th fun...

Grandma and Grandpa Knighton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this summer! Today we got to take some pictures for the event so we could have some updated photos. We had a lot of fun, but to get them to really smile, can you guess which prop we used? CARTER.

These are just a couple of the pictures.
All grandpa's idea, how sweet.

Grandparents, grandson, and great-grandson.
Here's the prop!

It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

I have never met anyone that ate more or loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches more than Tanner. Almost every day it is his snack when he comes home from work. It stands to reason that with the high consumption of PB&J’s in our household that Carter would eventually become curious. Let’s just say today Carter finished an entire sandwich by himself, when we can barely get him to eat a couple spoonfuls of other food. Now if only there were broccoli or spinach jam.

Disney Dance Party

Carter is a dancing fiend! He is a pro at the running man, especially if Disney music is involved. He is partial to Lion King and Tarzan music, although any singing cartoon will do. For some reason it is hard to get him to dance when the camera is out, so I enlisted daddy to help encourage him. Enjoy!

New Things

Each day I am amazed at how rapidly Carter is picking up on things. He loves it when I vacuum. He'll run, screech, and dance around the vacuum. On occasion he'll even stand directly in front of it so that I am forced to wait through the "Carter Xing". Today while vacuuming Carter disappeared only to reappear with his own "vacuum". He was leading me for a while, but I couldn't get the video camera in time for most of it, but at least you get the idea.

Liberty Park

This weekend the weather rose into the 80’s, so today we went with the Paniagua’s to Liberty Park to enjoy the water features. Apparently the rest of the valley also got the memo. Needless to say it was packed. Carter enjoyed running “around” the water, like the fountains he’d been to before, but this time the water would randomly squirt from different directions so he didn’t exactly exit dry. In fact, he got so disoriented when the water began squirting out of fire hydrant that he ran directly towards it. He had a great time chasing Sophia and playing in the sunshine. We are looking forward to many more days like this.

Carter's new "kicks". He doesn't exactly like them yet...okay he cried, but he looks really cute walking in them!
I thought this was adorable this morning. Daddy was getting ready for church and showing Carter how to shave.

The fire hydrant incident...
Run away!

Where's Waldo?

Welcome "Sprummer"! It's suppose to be spring, but today felt like summer!

Ode to daddy

Carter loves his daddy. Who wouldn't? I know I do! I've been wanting to post some of these videos for a while. These buddies have a great time playing.

It's too quiet in the house...

I was in the bedroom when I realized it was far too quiet in the house. I peeked around the corner and saw a mess all over Carter's bedroom floor, but no Carter. I followed the trail of destruction and found him happily sitting on the dishwasher playing with dirty silverware. He obliged me with saying some words: spoon, bottle, up...up...up, and bye-bye. He sure is becoming a little monkey climber.

Garden Park

Carter and I stopped by the Garden Park ward building today to check it out because tonight I am going to take some family pictures there for some friends. I had been there once before for my bridal pictures, but couldn’t remember exactly where it was. It is a beautiful place with a lot of interesting architecture and fun colors. It was a little tricky to take pictures of Carter without him trying to jump in the water or fall down the steps, so the pictures are a little blurry, but you get a feel for the place.

How we're feeling today...

Carter has been a good sport this week. He's had a temperature that has ranged from 100-103 pretty consistently, but you'd never know it. Little children are resilient for sure.

Today I gave Carter his second haircut. I put him in his highchair with his gooey bananas to entertain him. He did really well, until I took him out of the highchair, as you can see in the pictures. I had to take his shirt off because it was covered in hair, but I can assure you he is now fully clothed.

Haircut and bananas!
Daddy will appreciate this most...he commented on Carter's long hair in the back.
Not so happy.
Not feeling well.
Mommy and bottle to the rescue!
Much better.
Playing peek-a-boo without a shirt...
So handsome.
"Peek-a-boo!"

Fountains...

Carter and I met Krystal, Sophia, and Isabella at the Gateway Mall fountains. The weather was 81 degrees today! We were told it was the warmest day of the year thus far. A Deseret News photographer approached me and asked if he could get permission to use a picture of Carter for the paper if he got a good one. Wouldn't that be cool?
Carter enjoyed running around. We found that if he kept his socks on he was less likely to slip. We had a wonderful time and I think it gave daddy a great time to rest.

I love Carter's dance moves in this video.

Checking out the water.

Chomp Chomp

He was showing his age when he was the only kid walking around with a bottle, haha.
Look at our little runner.
Sock footprints.
Warm and dry after the fountains.

Carter was so happy to see daddy.
"Excuse me, where is the library?"
