Today we headed to the Centerville Cemetery to visit Grandma
and Grandpa Argyle’s and Great-grandma and Grandpa Adams’ grave for Memorial
Day. It was beautiful to see flowers everywhere and families picnicking
together. We shared with Carter our favorite memories of Grandma and Grandpa Argyle.
Mine in particular were the many Fourth of July and Christmas Eve holidays
spent in their home. After we roamed around the cemetery looking at all the
other ancestors buried there.
When we left we headed to Antelope Island. We had never been
there before and we had the BEST time. It was too much fun! Carter absolutely loved
the water. It’s like it was made for his little feet to run in; the water was
only a few inches deep. The beaches were flat and wide open so he could run as
long and as far as he wanted. We also brought my surfboard along so that we
could send a picture to “Free to Ride” surf shop in Capitola. They said they
would put it up in their shop and that they didn’t have a picture from the Salt
Lake. At one point, Carter got stuck in some mud and loved playing with it. It
was the greyest, smelliest mud I’ve ever seen/smelled. Of course, he had to put
it in his mouth and let’s just say better out than in. After we left the beach
we drove around the island and saw the bison that live there. We had a great
day together as a family.

Just ate the mud...I won't post a picture of what happened next. I promise I couldn't stop him. |

So happy to be free and dirty. |

Oh my goodness! Favorite post yet! Loved, loved all the pictures. Darling Carter, tearful for me, pics at the cemetery, and beautiful shots of the Tanner and Jennifer Dietrich family. We are going to check out that shop after you send the pic and will take a pic of it and send it back to you. We are so all going to Antelope Island next time we visit. Seeing the flowers you placed and the graves made my day. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I miss them so much. Love you all, mom
